The Botkins Board of Education met on May 10th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Approved the minutes of the April 12, 2023 regular board meeting

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

• Approved to amend the 5-year forecast as presented

• Approved to amend the Certificate and Appropriations as presented

• Approved a $20,000 transfer from the general fund to the severance fund 035 as presented

• Approved a $20,000 transfer from the general fund to the classroom facility maintenance fund 034-9012 as presented

• Entered Executive Session 7:45 PM

• Left Executive Session at 8:40 PM

• Approved the certified, negotiated agreement effective 8/15/2023 to 8/14/2026 as presented

• Approved the classified salary increases as presented

• Approved to hire the list of personnel for the 2023-24 school year for supplemental contracts at salaries to be determined as presented

• Approved to hire the following certified staff members for the contracts as presented:

• Approved that Botkins Local School will not provide students in grades 7 & 8 with CTE for the 2023-24 school year and will apply for a CTE waiver as presented

• Accepted the following donations as presented:

-$130 was received from the Wapakoneta Daily News to be used for the Art fund

-$613 was received from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the Cheer program

-$283 was received from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the Softball program

• Approved to hire the following substitute teachers as presented for the 2022-23 school year at a rate of $90 per day:

• Approved the Classified Handbook for the 2023-24 school year as presented

• Approved the Faculty Handbook for the 2023-24 school year as presented

• Approved the Gifted Plan as presented

• Approved the Park Usage Agreement as presented

• Approved to renew the levy for the 2 Mil Permanent Improvement tax as presented

• Approved to hire the following volunteers for the 2023-24 school year as presented:
