The BOE met on November 13th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:
Heard from Audrey Gutman regarding school colors and logo.
Approved the minutes of the October 10th Board of Education regular meeting.
Approved the Treasurer's report by the fund, general fund detail activity, the Investment report and 5-year review of the general fund activity.
Approved the following Then and Now purchase orders.
Scholastic Book Fair, PO# 58097 in the amount of $3,563.73 for the Book Fair.
Walsworth Publishing PO# 57942 in the amount of $5,298.68 for the 2019 final yearbook payment.
Approved the 5-year forecast for the Botkins Local School District as presented.
Approved the membership renewal to join the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce for the 2020 year at a cost of $104.50.
Approved the renewal of the five-year depository agreement with First National Bank of New Bremen.
Approved to disburse $225 (or any amount up to $250) from the Botkins Local School Foundation held by the Community Foundation to be used to sponsor the chosen student to attend the HOBY Conference.
Approved the Washington, D.C. trip for the Class of 2025 to leave at 6:00 AM on October 20th, 2020 and return on October 24th, 2020 at 11:45 PM.
Adopted the following Resolution of Commendations: FFA Dairy Judging Team - 7th at the National Dairy Judging Contest; Golf Team - 3rd at Sectionals, District Runner-Up, and 12th at State; Boys Cross Country Team - SCAL Runner-Up, District Runner-Up, 4th place at Regionals and 10th at State; Boys Soccer Team - WOSL Champions, District Champions, Regional Champions, State Final Four.
Hired the following: Heather Buehler-After-school tutor (through the MRESC), Lori Kremer-Sub-Custodian, Susan Covelli-Athletic Ticket taker, Renee Wildermuth-Athletic Ticket-taker
Approved that the transportation to Sidney Christian Academy is impractical and the Board will pay Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Hott in lieu of providing such services.
