The Botkins Board of Education met on August 13th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Approved the minutes of the July 9, 2025 regular board meeting

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

• Approved to hire the following personnel as presented:

  • Becky Walters - After School Tutor

  • Dennis McPheron - Varsity Boys' Basketball Assistant Coach

  • Haley Payne - Junior High Cheer Coach

  • Raquel Brown - After School Tutor

• Approved the bus routes for the 2025-26 school year as presented

• Approved to set the 2025-26 tuition rate for Botkins Local School at the amount determined by ODE as presented

• Approved authorization to clear students as presented

• Approved to enter into an agreement with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office for School Resource Officer services for the 2025-26 school year at a cost to be determined

• Approved to hire the following substitute teachers for the 2025-26 school year at a rate of $110 per day:

• Approved a donation of $417 from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the FCCLA fund as presented

• Approved to pay parents in lieu of private school transportation as presented

• Approved the overnight trip for FFA to travel to the National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana October 29th-November 1st as presented

• Approved to increase the technology fee to $40 for grades 7-12 for the 2025-26 school year as presented

• Approved Jordan Paul as a Volunteer for High School Boys Soccer as presented

• Approved to transition to OMNI & TSACG for compliance services for the School's OASBO 457(b) Plan as presented
