The Botkins Board of Education met on January 14th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Approved the minutes of the December 10, 2025 regular board meeting

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

• Approved the Then and Now purchase order as presented

• Approved to set the cost of Drivers Education at $375 for Botkins students and $475 for Non-Botkins students for 2026-27 school year as presented

• Approved to join OSBA for the calendar year 2026 at a rate of $4189 as presented

• Approved to join OSBA's Legal Assistance Fund (LAF) for the calendar year 2026 at a rate of $250 as presented

• Adopted the 2026-27 school calendar as presented

• Approved to accept the following donations as presented:

  • $700.00 from Todd Grimm and Thomas Clark to be used for the softball team

  • $119.94 from the Botkins Education Foundation to be used for the Manners Matters Brunch

  • $239.00 from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the track team

  • $2000.00 from Joe & Janell Welker to be used for the Nick Welker Scholarship Fund

  • $200 from the Huelskamp family to be used for the Dave Huelskamp Scholarship

  • $1000 from Josh & Jessica Meyer to be used for the Cara Meyer Scholarship

• Approved to hire Renee Wildermuth as Athletic Ticket Taker for the 2025-26 school year as presented

• Approved Riley Hammonds as a volunteer softball coach as presented
