The Botkins Board of Education met on December 8th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Approved the minutes of the November 10, 2021 regular board meeting

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

• Approved to set the reorganizational meeting and the regular Board meeting for January 12, 2022, at 6:45 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. respectively

• Accepted the following donations as presented: $1000 from the Community Foundation of Shelby County to be used for 2022 Scholarshiprs, $3462 for the Jeff Roberts Scholarship Fund, $50 from Meyer's Tavern for Girls' Basketball.

• Hired the following substitute teachers for the 2021-22 school year:

  • Aliya Jones

  • Olivia Jones

  • Meg Russell

• Hired the following personnel for an Athletic Ticket Taker for the 2021-22 school year:

  • Brenda Tennant

• Hired the following Student Athletic Worker for the 2021-22 school year:

  • Mark Carducci

• Approved the agreement to transfer the Serr Scholarship balance to the Community Foundation of Shelby County

• Approved the Treasurer to be solely covered through the school's crime insurance through the Southwest Education Purchasing Council
