The Botkins Board of Education met on July 9th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Approved the minutes of the June 11, 2025 regular board meeting

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

• Approved hotel expenses as presented

• Approved the following donations as presented:

  • $125.00 from Edwin & Sonia Heminger to be used for the athletic fund

  • $1000.00 from an anonymous donor to be used for the Boys Basketball fund

• Approved to hire the following personnel for the 2025-26 school year as presented:

  Dale Steinke – Night Custodian (potential start date of 9/19/25)

                     Gavrielle Mann – Saturday School Supervisor

                     Ashlee Zimpfer – Saturday School Supervisor

                     Jennifer Holtzapple – Saturday School Supervisor

                     Becky Walters – Saturday School Supervisor

                     Michele Meyer – Saturday School Supervisor

                     Paula Owen – Saturday School Supervisor

                     Cal Miller – Saturday School Supervisor

                     Ashlee Zimpfer – After School Tutor

                     Michele Meyer – After School Tutor

                        Kristina Paul – After School Tutor

                     Erin Maier – After School Tutor (thru the ESC)

  Angie Woodruff - In-School Tutor

•  Approved to enter the program services agreement with the Midwest Regional ESC for Fiscal Year 2026 as presented

• Approved athletic admission prices for the 2025-26 school year as presented and moved to set season passes at $95 for adults and $55 for students (no change in rates from last year)

• Approved the following Resolutions of Commendation as presented:

Boys 4x800 – The team of Lucas Arnold, Carson Heuker, Carson Brown, and Collin Doseck set a new school record running the 4x800 with a time of 8:06.36

Boys 4x200 – The team of Noah Greve, Collin Doseck, Carson Heuker, and Cohen Tennant set a new school record running the 4x200 with a time of 1:35.57.

Carson Brown – set a new school record running the 3200m with a time of 9:50.15

Madison Loy – set a new school record with most strikeouts in a season with 233 strikeouts,  set a new school record for most strikeouts in a game with 18 strikeouts, 1st Team SCAL All-League Honor, Honorable Mention All-Southwest District Honor, Tied a school record for most wins with 12

Peyton Platfoot – set a new school record with 8 Career Triples, set a new school record with Most Triples in a season with 5, set a new school record with Most Home Runs in a season with 4, awarded 1st Team SCAL All-League Honor

• Approved the 7-12 Handbook as presented

• Approved the K-6 Handbook as presented

• Approved the Classified Handbook as presented

• Approved the Faculty Handbook as presented

• Approved the construction contract with Energy Optimizers for the Lighting and HVAC project at the Botkins Athletic Complex as presented
