The Botkins Board of Education met on December 10th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Approved the minutes of the November 12, 2025 regular board meeting as presented

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented.  Also discussed proposed property tax legislative changes and audit status.

• Approved to set the January Reorganizational Meeting for January 14, 2026, at 6:45 p.m. and Board Meeting at 7:00 p.m. as presented

• Accepted the following donations:

$234 from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the Cross Country Athletic Account

$327 from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the Softball Athletic Account

• Approved the following Resolution of Commendation:

Golf Team – Team members consisting of Carson Heuker, Treg Meyer, Will Dietz, Will Monnin, and Quinn Koenig won the SCAL Title, SCAL Tourney Champions,  qualified for Sectionals where they placed Runner-Up, qualified for Districts where they were deemed District Champions with a score of 319, qualified for State where they finished 9th place, set a new 9-hole school record (143 on 8/18/2025).

Peyton Platfoot – set a new school record for Sets in a Season with 2438 sets, awarded SCAL Honorable Mention, awarded District 9 Honorable Mention

Kaitlyn Meyer – awarded SCAL 2nd Team Honor, District 9 2nd Team Honor, chosen to play in the District 9 Senior All-Star Match

Stella Braun – awarded SCAL Honorable Mention, District 9 Honorable Mention

Amelia Koenig – Champion of Best in the West Junior High, Champion of Tour de Sewer Junior High, awarded SCAL County Champion, and awarded SCAL Runner of the Year

Tyler Arnold – Champion of Junior High Anna Invitational, Champion of Junior High Best in the West, Champion of Junior High Tour de Sewer, awarded SCAL Champion, awarded SCAL Runner of the Year, and awarded SCAL1st Team Honor.

Trevor Ludwig – qualified to race at the OHSAA XC Middle School State Championship and placed 8th

Junior High Cross Country Team – Team was Anna Invitational Champions, Best in the West Champions, Columbus Grove Champions, Tour de Sewer Champions,  Piqua Invitational Champions, and became back-to-back SCAL Champions

High School Girls Soccer – Outright Champions of WOSL for the first time in school history (last year were co-champs)

Addison Blindauer – set a new school record with 62 Assists in a Career, set a new school record with 24 Assists in a Season, awarded WOSL Offensive Player of the Year, awarded WOSL 1st Team Honor, awarded MVSSCA D5 All District 1st Team Honor, OSSCA Division 5 All-Ohio Honor

Delaney Manger – set a new school record with 9 Shutouts in a Season, set a new school record with 25 Shutouts in a Career, awarded WOSL Goalkeeper of the Year, awarded WOSL 1st Team Honor

 Coach Kevin Lynch – WOSL Coach of the Year for the 7th time, MVSSCA All-District Coach of the Year

High School Boys Soccer Team – WOSL Champions 10X, Back-to-Back District Champions, 4 District Championship Titles in school history,16-3-2 record, WOSL record 7-0-0

Trent Paul – tied a school record with Memphis Meyer for 22 Assists in a Season, awarded WOSL Offensive Player of the Year & 1st Team Honor, awarded MVSSCA D5 All-District 1st Team Honor

Memphis Meyer – tied a school record with Trent Paul for 22 Assists in a Season, set a new school record for 52 Assists in a Career, awarded WOSL Defensive Player of the Year two years consecutively, awarded WOSL 1st Team Honor, awarded MVSSCA D5 All-District Player of the Year & 1st Team Honor, awarded OSSCA D5 All-Ohio Honor. 

• Approved to hire Ainsley Manger as a substitute teacher for the 2025-26 school year as presented

• Approved to recognize indoor track for the 2025-26 season as presented

• Approved to hire the following student athletic workers as presented:

• Accepted the resignation of Katie Braun as cafeteria worker, effective 12/18/2025 as presented
