The Botkins Board of Education met on February 8th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Approved the minutes of the January 11, 2023 regular board meeting

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

• Amended the Certificate and Appropriations as presented

• Approved book fees for the 2023-24 school year as presented with no increase

• Approved to recognize indoor track for the 2022-23 season as presented

• Approved to become a member of the OHSAA for the 2023-24 school year as presented

• Approved Andrea Jones' extended maternity leave request as presented

• Approved Katie Watercutter's extended maternity leave request as presented

• Accepted the following donations as presented:

  • $2000 was received from the Botkins Area Community Club to be used for the Botkins Community Club Scholarship fund

  • $1600 was received from the ABC's to be used for the Mister C Assembly

  • $302 was received from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the Golf fund

  • $273 was received from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the Swim fund

• Accepted the resignation of Norm Yager as bus driver effective February 10, 2023 as presented

• Approved to hire the following long-term substitutes for the 2022-23 school year as presented:

  • Raquel Brown 

  • Jane Greve 

• Approved to hire the following substitute bus drivers as presented:

  • Tina Flora

  • Matt Titus

  • Ryan Maier

• Approved to change the preschool route rate as presented

• Accepted the resignation of Logan Heitkamp as Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach as of February 3, 2023 as presented

• Approved to hire the following supplemental contracts for the 2022-23 as presented:

  • Caleb Koch - 1/2 Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach

  • Jeremiah Smith - 1/2 Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach
