The Botkins Board of Education met on February 12th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Approved the minutes of the January 8, 2025 regular board meeting

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

• Approved the Then and Now purchase order as presented

• Approved book fees for the 2025-26 school year as presented

• Approved membership in OHSAA for the 2025-26 school year as presented

• Approved to join OSBA's Legal Assistance Fund (LAF) for the calendar year 2025 at a rate of $250 as presented

• Approved to accept the following donations as presented:

  • $189.00 from Meyer's Tavern for the Softball fund

  • $271.00 from Meyer's Tavern for the Cheer fund

  • $202.00 from Meyer's Tavern for the Volleyball fund

  • $1100.00 anonymous donation for 2 students to attend ONU summer music camp

  • $1000 from Mr. & Mrs. Roger Fischbach for the FFA fund

• Approved to hire Ron Bergman and Ron Barhorst as Sub-Custodians for the 2024-25 school year as presented

• Approved Dianna Tennant as a Volunteer JH Track Coach as presented

• Approved to hire Larry Lane as a substitute teacher for the 2024-25 school year as presented

• Adopted the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce Special Education Policies & Procedures as presented
