The Botkins Board of Education met on July 10th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:
Approved the minutes of the June 12, 2024 regular board meeting
Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented
Approved the Then and Now Purchase Order as presented
Accepted the donation of $250 from Care-A-Lot Preschool to be used for the general fund as presented
Approved to hire Tyler Carson as Volunteer Girls' Soccer Assistant Coach for the 2024-25 school year as presented
Approved to enter the program services agreement with the Midwest Regional ESC for Fiscal Year 2025 as presented

Adopted the athletic admission prices for the 2024-25 school year as presented and approves to set season passes at $95 for adults and $55 for students

Brittany Arnold – All-Ohio, SCAL County Champion in 1600m & 3200m, District Champion in 1600m and 3200m, Regional Champion in 3200m, qualified for State 4X and placed 9th at State in 3200m, Regional Qualifier in 4x800, State Qualifier 4x800 placing 7th at State, All-Ohio Honor
Carson Brown – SCAL County Champion in 3200m, District Runner up in 3200m, Regional Qualifier, All-Region award
Grace Gutman - Academic All-Ohio, District Champion in 800m, Regional Qualifier, All-Region Award; State Qualifier in 4x800 placing 7th at State, All-Ohio Honor

Sophia Bajwa – Academic All-Ohio, Set a new school record in Girls Pole Vault with a height of 10-6, placed 3rd at Districts, qualified for Regionals and State
Boys 4x800 – The team of Collin Doseck, Lucas Arnold, Carson Brown, and Parker Schnippel set a new school record running the 4x800 with a time of 8:14.33, (Regional Qualifiers)
Girls 4x800 – The team of Brittany Arnold, Addison Blindauer, Grace Gutman, and Alaina Mann District Runner-up, Regional Qualifer, State Qualifier.
Colton Pleiman – Academic All-Ohio, SCAL County Champion in Shot Put, placed 3rd at Districts in Shot Put, qualified for Regionals; SCAL County Champion in Discus, District Champion in Discus, Regional Qualifier, and State Qualifier
Jana Metz – Discus: SCAL County Runner-up in Discus, District Runner-up, Regional Qualifier, State Qualifier
Shot Put: Districts placing 3rd, Regional Qualifier
Carson Heuker – Set a new school record in 300 Hurdles with a time of 40.67, breaking the last record from 2017; District Runner-up, All-Region Finish
Boys 4x400 – The Junior High team of Wesley Gutman, Aaron Jutte, Aaron Steinke, and William Monnin became SCAL County Champions
Boys 4x800 – The Junior High team of Wesley Gutman, Sawyer Braun, Aaron Steinke, and Aaron Jutte set a new school and county record by running the 4x800 with a time of 9:05.96, SCAL County Champions
William Monnin - SCAL Junior High County Champion in Long Jump with a personal record of 18’ 11.5”
Vincent Bayless – SCAL Junior High County Champion in Shot Put
Madison Loy – set a new school record (previous record was set in 2000) with most strikeouts in a season with 152 strikeouts, 2nd Team SCAL All-League Honor, Tied a school record for most strikeouts in a game with 15
Maddilyn Frey – Tied a school record for most triples in a season with 3
Peyton Platfoot – Tied a school record for most triples in a season with 3
Destination Imagination – The team of Bria Gerstner, Molly Ellinger, Leah Ellinger, Wyatt Greve, and Lucas Steinke placed 24th out of 48 team in the World. Coach Sharon Hager led them to compete at Kansas City at the Global Finals.
