The Botkins Board of Education met on June 8th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

  • Approved the minutes of the May 11, 2022 regular board meeting

  • Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

  • Amended Certificate and Appropriations as presented

  • Entered Executive Session at 7:21 PM

  • Left Executive Session at 7:51 PM

  • Approved Negotiations regarding a tentative agreement with BFT for new contract language, salary, and benefits as presented

  • Approved Administrative/Supervisory, and Classified raises as presented

  • Approved Graduation Requirements for the Class of 2023 as presented

  • Approved Temporary Appropriations FY23 as presented

  • Approved Substitute Pay for 2022-23 School Year at the rate of $90 per day.

  • Approved Lunch Prices for 2022-23 school year as presented:

    • Grades K-6 $2.30

    • Grades 7-12 $2.60

    • Adult $3.30

    • Extra Milk $.60

  • Accepted the following donations:

    • A donation of $250 was received from Care-A-Lot Learning Center

    • A donation of $2200 was received from Joe & Janell Welker to be used for the Nick Welker Scholarship fund

    • A donation of $235 was received from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the Cole Field Athletic account

    • A donation of $308 was received from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the Volleyfund fund

  • Adopted the Resolution to approve a calamity day attendance plan for the 2022-23 school year for 26 hours to be made up via online lessons or "blizzard bags" as presented

  • Accepted the following resignations:

    • Susan Leugers - Cafeteria worker, effective date of May 26, 2022

    • Teresa Yinger - Tutor/Aide, effective date of May 26, 2022

    • Brittany Gross-Butler - Business Education Teacher/Girls Varsity Basketball Coach, effective date of July 31, 2022

  • Approved to hire the following personnel:
