The Botkins Board of Education met on June 10th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Discussed the FY26 Plan and Report for the Disadvantaged Pupil Impact Aid (DPIA) and Student Wellness and Success Funds (SWSF)

• Approved the minutes of the May 13, 2026 regular board meeting as presented

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

• Amended the Certificate and Appropriations as presented

• Approved the Then and Now purchase order as presented

• Approved to renew the five-year depository agreement with U.S. Bank as presented (starting 8/1/26)

• Approved temporary appropriations for FY27 as presented

• Approved to set lunch and milk prices as presented for the 2026-27 school year (no change to ala carte items or lunch prices):

• Accepted the following donations as presented:

  • $500 anonymous donation for the Destination Imagination fund

  • $1000 from the F.O.P. Sidney for the Destination Imagination fund

  • $50 anonymous donation for the Destination Imagination fund

  • $246 from Meyer’s Tavern for the Destination Imagination fund

  • $1521 from the Botkins Education Foundation for the Mazza Museum elementary field trip

  • $2750 from the Botkins Education Foundation for the Destination Imagination fund

  • $500 from All-Tem Ref. Inc. for the Destination Imagination fund

  • $500 anonymous donation for the Destination Imagination fund

  • $3900 from Botkins Youth Baseball/Softball for the Baseball/Softball athletic funds

• Approved a calamity day attendance plan for the 2026-27 school year as presented

• Approved to hire personnel for the 2026-27 school year for supplemental contracts per the approved salary schedule as presented                                                                                   

• Approved to hire the following substitutes for the 2026-27 school year as presented:

• Approved to hire the following personnel per the negotiated agreement/salary schedule as presented:

    Jerry Lenhart – Driver’s Education Instructor

                     Sybil Koenig – After school Tutor

                     Heather Wing – After school Tutor

                     Brad Bergman – Youth Basketball Coordinator

   Erin Maier - Summer School Tutor (through Midwest Regional ESC)
