The Botkins Board of Education met on March 12th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:
Approved the minutes of the February 11, 2026 regular board meeting
Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented
Approved a $25,000 transfer from the general fund to the track fund 003-000; also approved increase in certified of estimated receipts and appropriations as presented
Approved to appropriate $1,400,000 in fund 070-9023 for Capital Project Fund for additional athletic space as presented
Approved the Then and Now purchase order as presented

Approved the negotiated agreement for the 26/27, 27/28, and 28/29 school year with changes as presented

Adopted the resolution for the use of the school grounds for the Botkins Carousel as presented
Accepted the amounts and rates as determined by the budget commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying to the county auditor as presented
Accepted the resignation due to retirement of Jennifer Holtzapple as 4th Grade Teacher as of 5/31/2026 and accept the resignation due to retirement of Krista Meyer as Guidance Counselor
Accepted the resignation of Averee Trainer as Cafeteria Worker as of 3/1/2026
Approved to hire Kendra Mitchell as Cafeteria Worker for the 2025-26 school year as presented
Approved to hire Tricia Dietz as a 2nd Grade Teacher for the 2026-27 school year at the rates presented
Approved to accept the following donations as presented:
$200 donation from Jack Oakley for the Agriculture department
$500 donation from Tom Ahl Buick for the Softball fund
$600 donation from Mark Roggenkamp for the Mark & Kathy Roggenkamp scholarship fund
$319 donation from Meyer's Tavern for the Golf fund
$180 anonymous donation for the Golf fund
$1000 donation from Minster Bank for their scholarship fund
Approved the FFA overnight trip to Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum as presented
