The Botkins Board of Education met on November 8th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Approved the minutes of the October 11, 2023 regular board meeting

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

• Approved the Then and Now purchase order as presented

• Approved the 5-year forecast for the Botkins Local School District as presented

• Approved up to $150.00 Membership fee with Sidney-Shelby County Chamber of Commerce as presented

• Approved of disbursement of money for HOBY sponsorship as presented

• Approved to hire the following substitute teachers for the 2023-24 school year at a rate of $100 per day as presented:

  • Melanie Yingst

  • Stacy Dickman

  • Taylor Poeppelman

  • Lauryn Wolters

• Approved to accept the following donations as presented:

  • $950.00 from Boys' Baseball to be used for the Boys' Baseball Fund

  • $200.00 from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the Cole Field Athletic Fund

  • $2000.00 from the Botkins Education Foundation to be used for the Chad Dunlap Assembly

  • $180.00 from Meyer's Tavern to be used for the Girls' Basketball Fund

  • $700.25 anonymous donation to be used for the Softball Athletic Fund

  • $396.00 from the Botkins Athletic Boosters to be used for the Cheerleading Fund

• Approved the FFA overnight trip to the State Finals in Wooster, Ohio December 6-7, 2023 as presented

• Approved the Tournament Manager Rate for the 2023-24 school year as presented
