The Botkins Board of Education met on November 13th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Approved the minutes of the October 8, 2024 regular board meeting

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

• Approved the Then and Now Purchase Orders as presented

• Approved to renew the five-year depository agreement with First National Bank as presented

• Approved to amend the Certificate and Appropriations as presented

• Approved the 5-year forecast as presented

• Approved Membership with Sidney-Shelby County Chamber of Commerce as presented

• Approved disbursement of money for HOBY sponsorship as presented

• Approved to hire the following substitutes for the 2024-25 school year as presented:

  • Victoria Weiss

  • Raegan Amstutz

  • Addison Brewer

  • Stacey Burke

  • McKenzie Green

  • Benjamin Wical

• Accepted the following donations as presented:

  • $2627.92 was received from the ABC’s to be used for Scholastic, 

  • $230.00 was received from Meyer’s Tavern to be used for the Cheer fund, 

  • $191.00 was received from Meyer’s Tavern to be used for the Golf fund, 

  • $1200.00 was received from Cynthia Johnson to be used for the Drama fund, 

  • $281.00 was received from Meyer’s Tavern to be used for the Softball fund, 

  • $408.00 was received from Meyer’s Tavern to be used for the Boys’ Basketball fund, 

  • $2550.00 was received from Edie Huelskamp to be used for the Dave Huelskamp Scholarship fund.

• Approved the Band & Choir overnight trip to Disney in Orlando, Florida, March 15-21, 2026 as presented

• Approved Tournament OHSAA Worker Rates as presented

• Approved to hire Brenda Tennant as athletic ticket taker for the 2024-25 school year as presented

• Approved to assign Keith Puschel as BOE DPA Liaison and grant him rights to approve and sign Exhibit Form E's as presented

• Adopted the Neola update to Board Policy as presented
