The Botkins Board of Education met on October 11th for the regular board meeting and took the following actions:

• Approved the minutes of the September 13, 2023 regular board meeting

• Approved the Treasurer’s report by fund, general fund activity, the Investment Report, and the 5-year review of General Fund Activity as presented

• Approved the Then and Now purchase order as presented

• Approved all Activity Accounts for the Botkins Local School District for the 2023-24 school year

• Approved to hire the following substitute teachers for the 2023-24 school year at a rate of $100 per day as presented:

  • Lillie Elliott

  • Steven Gerholdt

  • Chayce Hickman

  • Katie Mayes

  • Chris Parks

  • Taylor Resor

  • Maggie Stiefel

  • Rachel Wallace

  • Tim Walls

• Approved to hire the following personnel for the 2023-24 school year:

  • Brenda Tennant - Athletic Ticket Taker

  • Derek Koenig - 7th Grade Girls' Basketball Coach

  • Caleb Koch - Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach (1/3 stipend)

  • Jeremiah Smith - Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach (1/3 stipend)

  • Eric May - Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach (1/3 stipend)

  • Chad Berning - Fifth Quarter Grant 

• Approved to accept the following donations as presented:

  • $4306.79 from Baseball parents to be used for the Varsity Baseball program

  • $500 from May Custom Manufacturing Inc to be used for the Baseball program

  • $2704.91 from ABC's to be used for the Scholastic Magazines

• Approved to adopt the Board of Education Policy Changes as presented

• Approved to hire Gina Greve as Volunteer JH Girls' Basketball Coach as presented

• Approved to hire Norm Yager as a substitute Bus Driver as presented
